Philippine Swimming is indeed on the rise as our Pinoy tankers logged forty eight (48) new Philippine National records, and eighty (80) record breaking swims in year 2019

Of the 48 new national records; twenty two (22) of which are seniors national swim records; while the rest are junior national records : nine (9) new records in the 16-18 Age Group, three (3) new records in the 14-15 Age Group, and fourteen (14) new swim records in the 13 & Under Age Group.

Filipino tankers who broke senior national records this year are Luke Gebbie, Jaden Olson, Jerard Jacinto, James Deiparine, Jarod Hatch, Joy Rodgers, Chloe Isleta, Desirae Mangaoang, Nicole Oliva, Xiandi Chua, Remedy Rule and Jasmine Alkhaldi.

Alkhaldi registered the most number of seniors national records set this year with 5 new individual records, and three relay records; followed by Gebbie with three national records.

Junior national record breakers this year are Jaden Olson, Jerard Jacinto, Rian Tirol, Jean-Pierre Khouzam, Jazzlyn Pak and Desirae Mangaoang in 16-18 Age Group; Jalil Sephraim Taguinod and Jeremiah Lhea Tandingan in 14-15 Age Group; and Ivo Nikolai Enot, Hugh Antonio Parto, Alexi Kouzenye Cabayaran, Athena Shannessa Chang, Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh and Liaa Margarette Amoguis in 13 & Under Age-Group.

Mangaoang, Chang, Mojdeh and Enot delivered the most number of junior records with three each.

There were still several junior record breaking swims not accounted in this report since those swims were from non-PSI sanctioned meets, and won’t be considered as Official National Swim records.

Mojdeh had record breaking swims at the Palarong Pambansa, while Albren Jan Dayapdapan and Gabriel Angelo Jizmundo broke the 50m Breast 14-15 junior record in Batang Pinoy Nationals.

Of the forty seven events broken this year, the Women’s 200m Fly event was reset seven times by Remedy Rule this year; while the Men’s 100m Free event was reset five times this year by Luke Gebbie.

The Women’s 200m Fly in the 13 & Under division was also reset four times this year by Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh.
