The Batang Pinoy Mindanao Games 2017 which will be held in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental has been postponed due to the current situation in the Mindanao region.

From July 10-12, 2017 as it’s original schedule, the Philippine Sports Commission will issue a formal notice on the new schedule this month or in the coming months.

The 2017-2018 Batang Pinoy Championships is a multi-sport competition for Filipino youth aged 15 years and below.

Participants shall be classified under two (2) age groups: Under 13 and 13-15 Years Old.

Athletes born on March 1, 2002 and onwards may participate in the 2017 Qualifying Legs and 2018 National Finals.

An athlete should participate as a member of the official delegation of a province, chartered city, or municipality. Barangay-level endorsements of athletes shall NOT be accepted.

An athlete should be a Filipino citizen, whether by birth or naturalization. A Fil-foreign athlete may participate as long as he/she represents a particular LGU.

An athlete may represent only one (1) LGU.

An athlete should have resided in his/her represented LGU for at least two (2) years. Endorsed athletes shall be presumed to meet the residency requirement unless proven otherwise through a formal protest by any party.

Participation in the Batang Pinoy is for free (no entry/participation fee to be collected).

Athletes of all LGUs, including the host cities and provinces, must participate in their respective Qualifying Legs (Mindanao, Visayas, or Luzon) to qualify for the National Finals.
